When will I receive my pattern?
All the sewing patterns in our shop are digital, which means you'll receive a link to download the pattern, shortly after purchase. You will not receive a physical product in the mail.
You can also download your purchased patterns directly from your account in the shop. If you did not create an account when you ordered, you still can do that here; you will then be able to access any previously purchased patterns.
How do I use a digital pattern?
PDF patterns are digital files with pattern pieces and sewing instructions, which you open and print from your computer. The pages print to standard paper size, which you will piece together with tape. Then simply cut out the size(s) you need! (All of our pattern files include detailed instructions for how to do this).
>> WATCH a step-by-step video for printing/piecing PDF patterns here on my channel.
If you don't have a personal printer, you can email the file to a print shop or public library and have the pages printed. But please refer to our copyright info below.
Some patterns may also include a copy shop version, which will allow you to have the pattern pieces printed on a wide-format printer, instead of assembling the pieces yourself (similar to buying a paper-printed pattern). If this option is included in the pattern, it will say so in the shop listing.
We recommend:
• Printing from a COMPUTER, rather than a mobile device. This will give you the best printing accuracy.
• Viewing your pattern via Adobe Reader. It's free and it generally offers the most reliable results. You can get it here. Be sure to print at 100% (or Do Not Scale).
What is your refund policy?
Due to the nature of digital items, we cannot offer refunds.
Can I sell items I make from your patterns?
By purchasing a pattern in our shop, you are free to make items from the pattern and sell them in your small-scale shop, such as an Etsy shop, or for a local fundraising event. No production license is needed. However, no mass production please. If you ever pay for someone to manufacture items for you, you will need to create your own original pattern.
Can I share this pattern with others? What is your Copyright Policy?
Unfortunately the pattern cannot be shared with others. If your friend would like to sew with one of our patterns (which I hope they do!) they will need to purchase their own pattern. We value this level of honesty in the indie pattern business and hope you do too.
What if I'm teaching a sewing class based on your pattern? Do I need to buy a pattern for each student?
If you're teaching a class based on our pattern, that's awesome! We love it. Yes, a separate pattern will need to be purchased for each student in the class. You can roll the cost of that into the overall price of your class.
